Vision
Developing the nursing profession to transform healthcare in Illinois.
Purpose
The purpose of the Foundation is to collaborate with community partners in promoting the health of the public by supporting nurses through charitable, research, and educational initiatives.
That purpose will be accomplished through the following philanthropic activities:
- Providing scholarship funding to students of nursing and nurses,
- Funding scholarly initiatives that promote the health of people and development of the nursing profession, and
- Informing the public about health issues and nursing.
These activities will be accomplished through procuring grants and endowments from private foundations, corporate sponsors, government agencies, and individuals.
How it came to be
In honor of its first 100 years, INA established the Illinois Nurses Foundation to promote the health of the public by advancing the nursing profession in Illinois. This purpose will be carried out through its programs
