Illinois Nurses Association (INA) will host its 15th Annual Student Nurse Political Day on Tuesday, April 24, 2012. The event starts at 10:00 a.m. and will be held at the Prairie Capitol Convention Center in Springfield, IL. More than 1,200 nursing students are expected to attend and learn how the legislative process will affect their nursing practice. Program highlights include a review of “Who’s Who in Springfield,” “The Importance of Political Activism,” and “Hot Topics in Nursing.” Illinois legislators who have supported the nursing profession will be recognized for their efforts. Activities will conclude with a march to the state Capitol, one of the most televised nurse marches in the state.
The registration fee is $10.00 per student or faculty member and an agenda for this event can be found on the registration form.
